It is possible, just not probable.

Usually the egg sheds before lining of the uterus--aka menstruation-- occurs. In some instances, it does not shed before the menstrual cycle so the egg can implant into the lining that is still left over.

It is rare, but it can happen.

Best thing is to be on birth control...then have sex all you want.

Yes, while a woman is least likely to get pregnant during her period, she can. During menstruation a woman's body is flushing out both the unfertilized egg and the lining her body prepared for the possibility of a fertilized egg, so it is quite difficult to get pregnant during this time. Yet it is not impossible.

Sperm can reside inside of a woman's body for several days after sex, and a very slim chance exists that these several days will extend into the beginning of a woman's fertile period. The greater risk involved with having unprotected sex during a woman's period is that she has mistaken spotting or other midcycle bleeding for her period. If this is the case, then a woman may be having unprotected sex at a time when she is very much fertile.

The chances of getting pregnant while using a condom are very low and even more lower if she is on her period and a condom is used. However, I have read and heard of stories of women saving the condom after use (after the man has ejaculated) to insert the sperm inside themselves to get pregnant. Another factor could be that you used an old condom, or a condom that had a leak. Or maybe she was already pregnant. Something to think about...

Yes it is, but highly unlikely. I use that method sometimes, but my doctor says it will happen eventually. He says that the rhythm method doesn't work for all women, because everyones' body is different. So you really are taking a chance doing that. Mind you I've never gotten pregnant doing it that way. But that's me. Plain and simple my doctor says when there's no protection, there's always a 50/50 chance.

It's possible, but not likely. It has been known to happen, though, so unless you want to get pregnant, I'd be careful.
