I think with all the flowers available out there guys should be more creative - go beyond the roses - what about heliconias? Or gingers? Or amaryllises? A good florists will know the old meanings attached to some of these flowers and can help you choose the right one for the occasion.

if some guy gave me roses i would be so touched. but i would be touched to be given anything out of love. an id actually prefir being given a t shirt that has the sent of the guy i love than roses that will die in a week

OK, my avetar shows me as a boy I"m a girl though. I got the avetar stuck on boy but I love to recieve roses. I think it is very sweet!!!

Us 'gals' do like flowers but nowadays you can buy flowers anywhere.
A girl needs something special, something that is unique.
We 'gals' love flowers but be creative in choosing what flowers!

Getting flowers can be nice but I'd rather you give me a movie or a CD... something that lasts.
