It's Thanksgiving Day (Happy Thanksgiving to all), & today we pause however briefly to remember the things that we are most greatful for.(for me, a new friend will be high on my list & in my thoughts)... & then we feast. (tomorrow we shop, lol)... Anyway...
Does anyone other than me have a fear of cold turkey following Thanksgiving ? (The asker recognizes that merely raising the question in such a way does not help him make his case for no cold turkey)

Cold turkey -- hmmmm .... going cold turkey on overeating? going cold turkey on some other bad habit, like shopping or Starbucks or some other drugs? Surely you can't mean you're afraid of turkey the day after! That's one of the charms of Thanksgiving, that big bird in the fridge for several days, slowly disappearing in slices and chunks, until only the carcass is left, ready to go into the big pot to become turkey soup! Enjoy the day, and all that's to come from our friend, Mr. Tom Turkey!

You must eat cold turkey to complete the Thanksgiving ritual. Remember to use lots of mayo and follow with a piece of pumpkin pie.

ahhh,, the famed next day turkey sandwiches, then turkey rice soup... then turkey casserole,, then turkey...and on and on.. if you get a big bird there will be leftovers and with leftovers comes the inventions... it is unfortunately part of the "experience" just like eating wayyyyyy to much and taking a cat nap after you eat.. not too much you can do about it.. face your fears man..suck it up and have a cold turkey sandwich on me !!!! LOL

Cold turkey is way gross. The day after it's always dry and when you reheat it it never tastes like it did the day before. That's why I give my half eaten cold turkey to bums.
