This year will be very special.
I admit I have been scrooge for most of my life.
My husband has always been the one with the decorations, the tinsels, the wreaths and trees.
This year I am taking over and I have already set up 2 trees and multiple garlands etc....
husband is not sure of what is happening, he has Alzheimer but the kids and I decided we will try our best to bring back some of the old memories and make him smile at all the bling bling in the house.
We are sure next year it will not mean a thing to him.
This year we still stand a chance.
So Merry Christmas it is. I am enjoying it already!

This is going to be my last Christmas in my home country with my family and friends before I move to Jamaica in the New Year so you'd think I'd be looking forward to it. But somehow all I feel is apathy. I'm looking forward to spending time with them but the fact that it's also going to be Christmas is not even registering with me.
It's weird because as a kid I would start geting excited in October.

Love Christmas but hate the commerciality of it. All the ads on TV etc are awful. Must be such a strain on parents.

Love Christmas. Eat too much drink too much. Trick is to give yourself a budget for presents and under no circumstances go over it, If they don't like it tough you gave them a thought.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE above all don't stress ENJOY

I'm not, I'm dreading it. I haven't been able to get a decent job and have given it to myself as my deadline to quit trying and do whatever I need to to pay the bills, I have very little money and will be working most of the time due to jobs in a pub and a shop. While my b/f has booked two wks off, so I will enjoy him being house husband and doing the cooking and cleaning for me!
