well i can deffently say that yes this is illegal. You have two options to report him or not. If you want to report him you will need his warrent card number these are also found on the shoulder as well. when he pulled you over he should has given you a card so you have a record of the offence. this should also have all the details that you need to report him on. Ring the local police station and ask to speak to his inspector and the matter will be delt with from there. if you chose not to report him you could always have him take you out, the pay is good so make sure he pays, or just tell him your washing your hair when the phones.

LOl.

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago.

I went to a night club and a bloke of about 40 would not leave me alone. He was pestering me all night. I told him I was only 17 and thought he was a dirty old man.

Next week went to the same club and he was there again. Pestered me all night and followed me around. Told me he loved me and wanted me to have his babies.

He started to follow me home and in the end I threatened to call the police.

2 days later I got home from work and my neighbour told me that our burglar alarm had been going off all day and she had called the police.

About 30 mins later police car pulled up and policeman knocked on door. I opoened the door and it was pest from the nightclub. He was in such a panic to get back to the policecar that he ran straight into the gate knob first and ended up rolling on floor in agony.

I told him that there wasn't much chance of him giving anyone babies after that and shut the door.

Strangely I never saw him again.

I don't think its illegal but certainly very unproffesional.

Why thumbs down for bad answer.

If I was the police office boasting about the 17 year old bird i pulled in the nightclub would you all be giving me the thumbs up.

Geeeez some people are just plain weird.

It's not illegal to stop you - the police have the power to stop any driver to check their driving documents, etc., but if he used the threat of arrest to get you to say yes, that's a different ball game. If he didn't threaten you with arrest, but you just thought that because you're a bit dim, well that's your bag.

Legal, Yes, but I'm sure it is probally against company policy and not considered moraly correct. But if you like him go for it and if you were offended then call the department and make a complaint.

Hi Becky >
Under statutes, you must give your name & details to a Police Officer if requested.
Quite rightly.so.
So all that is legal.
Refusing to do so is also legal, but you will be taken for further questioning if something is amiss.
All very fair, and I am a law-abiding bloke.
But sometimes it seems to go a bit far.
Bob.

Its certainly against the police force rules, i doubt its illegal.

If you reported it he'd probably be rewarded with a pay rise and superintendents job, after the IPCC spent £100K on an investigation.

If he wanted, he could claim you gave him your phone number as a bribe...now that would be illegal....you've just put all the power in his court by giving your number out....I'd be worried if i were you - big mistake

Yes it is I know of alot of cops that get married from doing that. So unfortantly thier is no penal code for a cop asking you out if anything is can be considered misconduct by department standards if you wanted to go any where with it.

So is he going to take you out on a date - arrest you and put you in jail? Is this why you ask best ways to escape from jail?!!

Yes it is legal. However, it is rude to ask you out after you get a ticket from them!
