Dreams work from your "third eye" your subconcious, so yes blind people will be able to "see" in dreams, just as they will get pictures in head when listening to music, the same as sighted people do.

what a brilliant question and i would love to know the answer. i imagine those who go blind during life will defiantly dream however those born blind is tricky as how can they dream about things if they have never seen the image to be locked in the brain in the first place. i guess that's what our senses and imagination are for aren't they! they probably create dreams from using them.

Depends how you define 'seeing' in dreams - I remember dreams; I have never seen them in the same sense I see objects. Dream visions are associated with collated sensory perceptions, which include sight for me.

I think this leads to a general consensus that people blind from birth have no visual imagery to associate with their dreams, although they will experience sensory dreaming, which may result in 'images' of sorts based on other senses such as touch or description.

For those who have lost sight during their life, they will have a collection of visual imagery depending on how long they were sighted which can be associated with dreams.

Imagine asking 'can you smell a square?'. In dreams you probably could by association, but it's unlikely a square in itself has a waking smell.

Yes, but only those who have been sighted at one time. I don't know if those who were born blind dream at all.

i guess you'd have to ask a blind person. but i think they can see something. afterall you don't use your eyes to see your dreams. it's all in your mind. what they see may not be acurate as far as people or whatever.

wow, really a great question. i don't think they see dreams, i think they have thoughts or hear voices, but how they can see dreams if they never saw how people or things look like?

yes i mean when you go to sleep you can't see anything but dreams are something that are in your mind and not your eyes.
