For the fact that Christian activists gave them freedom. In fact Christianity eliminated slavery twice in history. Today, some 30 milion people are slaves still.

Thankful? for the right to make free choices. like the right to refuse to drink alcohol, the right to work and educate, the right to stand on their own two feet. provided of course that they use these rights- instead of living on food stamps (which BTW is much more than the people in North Korea or Zimbabwe get)

Blacks should be thankful that they like all others live in America. America the Beautiful, the country of freedom , the country of opportunity, and a place where anyone who wants to succeed can. they should be thankful they do not live in a country where people are starving to death, where Genocide is prevalent, and where they would truly be Minorities.

Everyone has a different experience in life therefore they have different things for to be thankful.

Everyone has got something to be thankful for, no matter what race, religion or culture, just because someone is a certian skin color doesn't mean they shouldn't be thankful for the same and/or different things as people of other race.

OMG The race card is the most over played damn thing...and is a CROCK OF CRAP! Yes white man brought Africans to enslave them. And Africans did it with the Jewish. No one forces blacks to go on welfare they have the same opportunities and I would say they even have more than any other race in America! Why? They've played the hell out of that race card! No one forces them to stay home and drink a 40 instead of looking into what is handed to them on a silver platter. Such as government grants and scholorship available to ONLY black people. But hey if a white organization only offered such a thing to only white people they would no longer be in service. No one forces the black community or any socio-economical-racial class to be lazy drunks on welfare who commit crimes. I am 1/2 Greek and 1/2 Beaner. My dad was born in America by a couple of wet-back border jumpers. Who couldn't speak nor understand a word of English. They worked hard learned English and never once rode the back of everyone else who works and pays into welfare for those who choose not to! They were greatful for the opportunity to work hard for the American dream. My great Grandparents took a boat that that was over crowed full of rodents and disease all the way from Greece. They didn't know English when they passed thru immigration on Ellis Island. But they too worked hard and never expected anything to be handed to them. You should be thankful to be in this country that allows people to be lazy non-contributing drunk criminals. And foots the bill to boot. This applies not only to Blacks but Mexicans who now cross the border to leach off of our system and breed like cockroaches. THIS HOWEVER EXCLUDES THOSE FROM EVERY RACE COLOR AND RELIGION WHO HAVE CHOSEN TO HAVE PRIDE WORK HARD AND BE CONTRIBUTERS. THOSE WHO HAVE COME FROM EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD JUST TO STEP ON AMERICAN SOIL SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE AND MEAN EVERY WORD OF IT!

THOSE WHO HAVE CHOSEN TO BE THE DRUNK CRIMINAL LEECHES SHOULD GIVE THANKS FOR

1. HAVING THE WORKING CLASS FOOT BILL FOR THEIR LIFE STYLE.
2. THAT WELFARE ISN'T VERY SCUTINIZING AND IS DENYING THOSE WHO ARE DROWNING IN BASIC NECESSARY LIVING EXPENSES AND BEING DENIED AID TO FOOT THEIR LIFESTYLE AND FOR THOSE IN PRISON HAVING THE BILL PAID FOR THEM TO HAVE FREE SHELTER MEALS AND HIGH STANDARDS THAT A LOT OF HARD WORKING PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD (like cable TV).
3. THEY ARE NO LONGER FORCED TO WORK.
4. TO HAVE THE FREEDOM TO BE A LOSER
