Maybe they feel that you are not the sort of person to treat such information in a way they would wish. I have never had a relationship with a woman who denied pleasuring herself. It is natural for both men and women as you say and nothing to be ashamed of. I am not accusing you of being an unsypathetic person but it is like lesbianism it took many years after male homosexuality was recognised before female homsexuality became a subject that could be relatively openly discussed. Many women feel that men do not take these sort of issues seriously and believe that we only wish to discuss them to get some sort of cheap thrill. Perhaps the best thing to do is wait until the woman brings up the subject as if you force it you will be seen as a thrill seeker.

Because masturbation is something that should be done privately, therefore the majority of women think it should stay private... By saying they don't do it removes the possibility of further questioning.
I know some women who openly admit to (in their words not mine) "flicking the bean" and using a rabbit (not the animal!), and I am not saying these women are sluttish or anything like that, far from it, they are just open and honest about it.
The easiest way of proving otherwise is to ask them "If you haven't then how do you know what feels good?"
I suppose its the same as a bloke never admitting to being caught havin quick one off the wrist... and you've just given me a great idea for a question....

That's a fair question. I know that guys do it a lot. And so do many women. Our individual "sex drives" vary from person to person. Different strokes, literally, for different folks: meaning that we are all aroused by different sets of stimuli. For those of us who often enjoy masturbation, those stimuli often involve a strong "visual" content. In simple terms, images of naked people get our motors running. These can be in photos, films, etc, but they can also just be in our minds. Here is an interesting difference among male/female masturbators: while both are "visual stimuli" people, the men like the actual photo (etc) while the girls can conjure the images mentally like a daydream. So there you have it. Masturbation 101. Class dismissed. And enjoy doing your homework! :)

Yes they do! There was a Q on here a while ago asking women if they do and most said yes, saying that there was probably loads who didnt answer coz they didnt want to admit it! So yeah ya probs right, I dont know anyone who denies it tho!

Most of the females I know don't try to pretend otherwise... except my gran, but she's a bit mental these days and thinks she's in the war half the time, so you can't expect her to keep up.

The way they were brought up, even though times have changed alot of women in their later twentys and early thirtys are still very in the closet because thats how their parents rought them up. With every thing it takes time.

Actually a while ago i got in a conversation with three woman all of whom started discussing the masterbation habits. 1 of them even said she was going out to buy a dildo herself.
