i need to know how to write the french style e, i can get this one, é, but need the dash the other way round,

This little thing (`) is on my top row before number 1.
Use it then e.
e.g.: è é

To get the accent the other way around on the E.. you have to press ALT plus 133....J'espere que ça va bien
When I say 133.. I mean that you press ALT PLUS the 133 on the NUMBERS keyboard

it's alt+138 on my keyboard. you might have to play around with the numbers to see what your settings are. if all else fails, use your computer's character map (start menu> programs> accessories> system tools> character map).
