who likes staying at home with just your small family for thanksgiving and christmas or going away to have a family reunion type thing??

I switch off year to year.
Because Christmas get togethers are always mandatory FFF (forced family fun), I take a break every other year and stay home with immediate family for Thanksgiving.
This year is home and we are actually splurging on going out to a nice restaurant this afternoon.
Next year, the dreaded triple F, and it is my turn to host the partial extended family. Oh joy.

I love staying at home with family. It's much nicer than having to drive somewhere else for the holiday.

either or. I sometimes like to go and I sometimes like to stay. no one can predict which mood I will be in at any given time. If you say yes then I say no if you say stop then I say go. this year, we are going

personal but I prefer a small intimate gathering as this way there can be more time spent with each individual person.
