Does healthy bacteria like the lactic acid bacteria found in our gut grow ack after it has been depleted or killed by an antibiotic?

Yes it does, it just takes a while for to get back to normal numbers. That all depends on how fast the bacteria goes through its cycle of dividing to copy itself.

When you're on anti biotics you should always take capsules of Acidopillis which contain the good bacteria you're destroying.
The Pharmacist should have told you that. Go to the drug store and get a bottle and take as directed and eat lots of yogurt with live bacteria in it and you should be fine.

Yes. You have to stop the antibiotic for the bacteria to multipy again.

Over a period of time the good bacteria will multiply again and recover their number.

Yeah...they sure do...it takes time though...about a week or so. If you wanna speed up the process, take yoghurt drinks or supplements containing acidophilus.

that is one of the disadvantage of indiscriminate antibiotic treatment. they do but takes time depends on the period and type of antibiotic used.
