It didn't come directly from one person. It was developed from the Egyption Heiroglyphics though. here is some information if you want it.

Also, there is an alphabet called the Petersonian English Alphabet which was created by David J. Peterson. It isnt the most commonly used though. here is that website.

The alphabet we use in English is the Roman alphabet, developed by the ancient Romans.
