It is semantics. The Germans were beaten. They gave up. Surrender by any other name is still surrender.

You are trying to create an 88 year coverup. Try reading some history books.

simply because the germans were not prepared to sign a surrender, and the allies thought that it was not worth to keep the killing going on just to change one word in a de-facto surrender treaty.

Consorting with the enemy (providing aid and comfort) was always considered a treasonable offense, and subject to execution. I wish some of the liberal politicians and activists today would remember that.
