honestly i don't know what type of bargains you want. but i live in a small town and i've found more designer clothing at Goodwill in my price range than I think i ever would in the actual store. I go to thrift shops or even second hand stores have some really nice clothing thats gently worn. besides- no one at your home town would ever know they weren't brand new.

Daffys, Century 21 across from the World Trade Center is fantastic and you should definetely go to either Jersey Gardens or Wodbury Common, their 2 outlet malls, there is public transport from manhattan. ENJOY.

My top spots...Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 & H&M!! Love them all, work at one, and shop at the other 2 cause they are a bit cheaper! They all have lower price tags which is great for the ever changing fashion! Hope you have a great time. And If you go to the Bronx for shopping...what are you really looking for??

It doesn't have to be expensive to shop in NY....
there are loads of bargain shops as well as designer.........
Macys is great...they have sales all the time.
You don't need to know where to go as you will probably pop into them all as your walking by ............... as you probably know Levis are much cheaper in the states and so are many other other things.
Just enjoy browsing through them all....you have plenty of money and will come back with loads.
Don't dismiss going to places like bloomingdales they have sales on at this time of year too.
Enjoy your trip x

Just back from New York. I found the chain DAFFY'S absolutely mind-blowing and reasonable.....check it out, it is all over the city.
One of the biggest is on 57th Street and Lexington. Also 8th Avenue and 57th Street. But it's just about everywhere.

Also look out for Filene's Basement, on Broadway around 84th Street.,,,,,it had wonderful clothing, very cheap.

macys i didnt think was that expensive for some stuff but you will need to shop around (excuse the pun!)
