Try applying baby oil while your skin is still wet. It locks in the water from the shower as well as stopping any of the natural moisture of your skin from escaping.
It's actually not very greasy (and much less sticky than moisturiser) and rubs in easily. It's also perfume free so it won't irritate your skin.
Also, I'd recommend using a shower creme rather than a gel or soap, and make sure you rinse it off thoroughly. An unperfumed one would be even better.

Apply a moisturising lotion or cream right after drying off. Also, you can try an in-shower body conditioner (I use one by Olay) - they don't work as well as normal moisturisers, but at least you won't get that dry feeling after stepping out of the shower.

U probably need shower foams that are soap free and with more emolient in it. It helps to lock in the moisture and prevent dryness. Try Cetaphil or Dermaveen moisturising wash. Use a moisturiser after baths too and as often as u like.

Try unscented Goat's Milk soap. I have dry skin too, and I find that this soap helps to keep in moisture. Try to use unscented types of soap or body gel.
