There will never be an end to violence in Iraq and this has nothing what so ever to do with the Troops there! They are actually making it safer at the moment whether people wish to believe it or not! Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims have hated each other for generations and will continue to attack and murder each other! Civil war brewing? Has it even ever ended properly other than the total oppression of the other side by Saddam?
Lets all stop winging at the troops and give them our 100% support as they do deserve it! I live in Scotland and send mail and parcels to my mates out there also now use anymarine.com to send stuff to our American allies out there too!
Please never belittle or forget their sacrifice!

From the news coverage and what John Simpson said on TV last night - I should think that civil war is about to start in Iraq any minute now.
According to Tony Blair, British troops will remain in Iraq and Afghanistan to do the job they were sent there for.
It is unlikely that British troops will come home soon. The end game has not yet been fully worked out but it seems obvious to me that some sort of withdrawal may be necessary either sooner or later.

There will never be and end to the violence anywhere. It is impossible. There can be only a decrease. And yes, this is possible. Eventually. If we leave now it will be worse off than it was before. Here is the situation.
If we leave two things can happen....One, the weak government crumbles and some kind of dictatorship or ethnic cleansing anarchy arises from the ashes......or Two the weak democracy prevails and very slowly gets to its feet and grows in strength.
However if we dont leave only one thing can happen. We strength the government to a point where it can stand on its own then leave. This will happen much faster if we stick with it.
leaving is for narrowminded short-sighted pansys who dont see the obvious side affects from simply abandoning the newborn government.

pretending to "support our troops " while at the same time saying bring our troops home" is a contradiction.
soldiers are trained and paid to do what they joined for, the work of soldiers, which is security and battle.
You dont ask a welder to stop welding.
The only reason the leftist cranks say bring our troops home is to gain propaganda advantage, so as to further their cause.
opposing any war i which our armies are occupying only serves as to lend comfort and support to the enemy, strengthening their resolve.
Ultimately leading to further allied casualties.
Without allied troops in iraq right now there would be civil war.
Great emphasis must be placed on the battle against syrian insurgents streaming into iraq to destabilise it.
The 2 countries i trust to complete this task is britain and the united states.

To be honest with you I really truly do not believe there will be end with Iraq. I don't know how much you believe in God and if you ever sometimes read the bible, but there will be wars no matter what until the day that Jesus comes to earth to save us.

No to the first, yes to the second.
The UK plans to withdraw troops in early 2007, whether there is peace or not.
The struggle left behind will ensure war for the next 50 years.
Good planning eh ?
