As far as I know, it is, as long as you acknowledge Africa (esp ethiopia) as the origin of man, and believe in Haile Selassie as a prophet/living god.

But what are other people's views? I have never known any white rastas.

There are white Rastas in the world, but it's a relatively recent developement, since Rastafarianism was founded on the concept that Blacks were morally superior to Whites, and that Whites where the source of all evil in the world.

Since the 70's and 80's, the Rasta movement has become much more secularized, and therefore less rigid
