Yes, you should be covered under medicaid. If you don't live together your income won't matter, but even if you did you are still within the income guidelines. You can make more money and still qualify for pregnancy medicaid. They will cover the cost of the birth, and your gf's after care for 60 days, and your baby's first year of health coverage(if you don't have insurance for the baby).

NOTE: If your girlfriend lives with her parents their income will come into play. She will have to provide their income or proof that she is paying them rent.

I highly recommend that she applies as soon as possible, because it takes awhile for the caseworkers to process the application and information. If you apply as soon as you know you are pregnant, you can usually be seen by the doctor before 12 weeks. I've been through this if you need any help please feel free to email me.

Considering that you two are not married they are not going to want to know your (the boyfriends) income. If she has a job then they will only want to know her amount of income. When you two do decide to get on medicaid, this might sound a bit dishonest but, try to make it look like she lives with you and she will be more likely to, first get on medicaid and secondly she will get more advantages considering that your income is not that much. Anyways, yes, medicaid will cover everything!! The only time you might receive a bill is if you do not provide the insurance card to a doctor. Good Luck i hope i helped.

Yes you would qualify for Medicaid, call Social services in your county and you can even go to the hospital and they can sign you up for it there. Medicaid pays 100 percent of the cost of having a baby. Go and get the Medicaid-it is there for people who really need it. If you don't use Medicaid the Mom and you will be responsible for the costs.
