I think a better question might have been, "Who doesn't have a tribal tattoo?"

I have several tribal tattoos. Look around at tattoo studio, and search the internet find something you like, then change it up some making it your own. I like tribal tattoos, and I don't really care what they mean. Don't get caught up in all that Miami Ink crap that tattoos have to have some special meaning, I get them because I like them. I'm heavily tattooed and maybe 2 or 3 have some kind of meaning. But look around, then try to design your own. You don't want someone elses or pull one off the wall at your local studio, and go around with the exact same tattoo has 100 other people. Peace!

thank God i don't have a tribal tattoo. the only way i could be convinced to get one is if i were actually from a culture that has a history in tribal tattoos. but i don't. so i won't. is there a reason you want to get a "tribal" tattoo? or are you just doing it because it was a fad in the 90s? good luck with finding something you like, but seriously think about what you're getting before you get it. my tattoo artist won't tattoo tribal on anyone.

Yep, I've four: my lower back, my toes and the side of my foot. All small enough in size. To choose my first design - on my lower back - I searched for tribal designs in Google images & different tattoo websites. I printed off some I liked & carried them around with me for a while, so I got used to looking at them & knew exactly which one I wanted. I even got a friend to draw something similiar to my favourite pic on my back in marker so I could see what it would look like!
If you call into a tattoo parlour they'll have lots of books of pics & also photos where you'll get ideas from. For example, the design on the side of my foot is actually a corner of a much larger design I spotted in a book in a parlour! You could ask someone there to recommend a design or even make one up for you.

I do have one that has a lot of meanings. The tats that I have are all originals that no one else will ever have. Try looking on the net for different symbols. Try ancient Pegan Symbols or Celtic. Find one and then modify it to be yours and only yours. You don't want to wear something common. Tatoos are a form of art and expression of the individual. They tell a story so be original and good luck.

No, I do not have any tribal tattoos and I do not recommend you on getting one. Yea it looks cool but it's a fad. Get a ta too with deep personal meaning it will evolve with you in time. Be original with your tattoos you are less likely to regret getting them later.
