I am a practising muslim, i pray 5 times a day. I don't think hijab is necessary in this day & age.Hijab was introduced when the life of women was difficult and it was a danger for women not to wear it at that time. But now it is a danger to wear it, people who wear the hijab get all kinds of abuse and humiliation. After 9/11 wearing the hijab has increased a lot. If the war and terror in the Middle East stops maybe these women will think about integrating more.Wearing a label is not as necessary as practising. Some people still do bad things whilst wearing a label. Is it right to hide under the label of a muslim?

Well, should matter to other people. Thats your life, do whatever you want. Nudity should be banned but an extra cover for the body should not be. This is the same as carrying two guns is banned; and they arrest a person who is not carrying any. Crazy people, but I think muslims should hide their identity these days...

Think again!
Did you know...

If shop mannequins were real women, they'd be too thin to menstruate.

There are 3 billion women who don't look like supermodels and only eight who do.

Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14.

If Barbie was a real woman, she'd have to walk on all fours due to her proportions. The average American woman weighs 144 lbs. and wears between a size 12 and 14. One out of every four college aged women has an eating disorder. The models in the magazines are airbrushed - they're not perfect!!

A psychological study in 1995 found that three minutes spent looking at models in a fashion magazine caused 70% of women to feel depressed, guilty, and shameful. Models twenty years ago weighed 8% less than the average woman, today they weigh 23% less.

Please send this to five phenomenal women today in celebration of Beautiful Women's Month, if you do, something good will happen - you will boost another woman's self-esteem.

....this paints an awfully different picture compared to Hollywood and beauty magazines, doesn't it? I see a blinking neon sign that says, "Oppression of women" by men, AND women themselves! Why do we put ourselves through this?

Many claim that Muslims oppress their women and Muslim women allow themselves to be oppressed because they wear the scarf/hijaab.

Nothing is further from the truth. The Hijaab is a form of liberation from being treated like a sex symbol. Always remember, hijaabis are judged according to character, not physical appearance and SHE COVERS HER HEAD AND CHEST, NOT HER BRAINS!

When a hijaabi speaks to men, they look into her eyes, not parts of her body. They speak with a respectful tone and they treat her seriously.

If you want more evidence that Islam liberates and not oppresses the woman, visit HIJAB & THE MUSLIM WOMAN.

I'll be honest with all of you. I used to read Sweet Valley High books when I was a teenager and all my life - until I received the above information, I have felt inadequate simply because SVH books taught me that only SIZE 6 girls are perfect.

And then there's the 36-24-36 stereotype. I am nowhere CLOSE to SIZE 6 and I swear, I have always used the 36-24-36 rule to judge myself. It was painful and I'm sure not just for me alone!

The above information has done wonders for me so please forward it to others. You never know how it could change another woman's life.

I think Neqab should be banned, because neqab can be used in crimes. About the Hijab, it's a matter of personal belief and a choice, it should not be banned.

Fight and slay the pagans (infidels) wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war." - Sura 9:5

"Prophet, make war on unbelievers and hypocrites, and deal rigorously with them." - Sura 9:73

"Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away. They have not the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your command, so that you may strike terror into the enemy of God and your enemy... Prophet, (Mohammed) rouse the faithful to arms! If they (the non-Muslims) incline to peace (accept Islam) make peace with them." - Sura 8:59

"If they reject your judgement, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge them for their sins." - Sura 5:49

"Believers (Muslims), take neither Jews nor Christians to be your friends: they are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number, and God does not guide (those Jewish and Christian) wrong-doers." - Sura 5:51

Banned, where is it banned? Surely not in the US? (no longer lives in the US) well, I am not Muslim, but I think it should not be banned. Its freedom of religion, everyone should have it!

Please tell me, is it banned or is it something being considered?
