I was wondering, how do buddhism marriages go down? What do they do? is there some dude with a book like in christian weddings?

The dude you refer to, we buddhist address him as BHANTE,in english.....respected teacher!

What he does?.....normally,the newly wed couple would repeat after the bhante.......first ,paying homage to the Buddha....then taking refuge in the BUDDHA,DHAMMA and SANGHA.......then taking the FIVE precepts.....then the bhante would chant the sutra of blessing(MANGALASUTRA,KARANIYA METTA SUTRA,etc)...then the bhante would bless the couple....later the bhante would share the merit gained with all the dieties then....he would transfer the merit gained to all the departed ones .......then we will say SAHDU SADHU SADHU!
