You can't make it at home any cheaper than what you can buy it....though with enough patience, work, and effort, you can make it better.
For beer, get in touch with your local home brewing store. They have everything you could possibly want for making fantastic beer at home...and wine, mead, cider, and others.
Unless you live in New Zealand or a select few European countries, making your own whiskey or vodka is against the law.

You can buy a kit that makes vodka, gin etc from most larger chemists. Once you have made it you need to freeze it to remove the water and get a stronger brew. This is what i did and is a cheaper way than seting up a still.

Alcohol will drink u before u drink alcohol....
U r too late 2 choose....
U may suck vodka, whisky, or beer... all will suck u first!
Then y to drink it... Throw it!... ha ha ha 1000 times
