my daughter is 40 and she looks anorexic BUT it is a family trait She never stops from morning to night and burns everything she eats and then some
she is happy healthy superactive taking care of teenagers, she eats like a horse and has been unsuccessfully tyring to gain weight all her life. You are as God made you
there is no such thing as underweight if it is genetic. the thing is she could eat and drink fatty rubbish to put weight on but she eats good non fattening food so that she can function properly and keep her energy levels up , if you have loads of energy then there is nothing you need to do about weight. but if you are lethargic and dull then you are underweight and need more food to provide energy. If you feel well then you are well

Yes it's unhealthy to be underweight. I would hate to be underweight and look like a poor person. I'm 30 pounds overweight which is not good, I'm going to exercise and try to get healthier.

Some people are naturally over or under the average weight and it is normal and healthy. But to starve ones self to become skinny is not right as it puts so much strain on so many other organs.

If you are healthy, you eat normally and you are physically fit then I would not worry. But the trick is to eat healthy food and you will never have any worries.

do you go on diet on purpose? Do you have any eating disorders? If the answer is no then i think its ok to be underweight. But try to eat more :) If not, you can always consult a dietician to help you plan a meal which will help you gain weight to a healthy standard.

yes, your body needs a certain amount of fat so that the ompulse conductors(nerve system) can function properly
it can affect brain effeciency as well as reaction time and sensory perception.
There are many more negatives to being underwieght but in my feild the effect on the nerves is the most outstanding
