I SEE ALL OTHER ANSWERS SAY IT'S OK TO USE LIMEWIRE. BUT I ALMOST TOTALLY SCREWED UP MY LAPTOP WHILE USING IT. I GOT ALL THE BEST ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAMS( I GOT TWO OF THEM, JUST IN CASE-NORTON AND STINGER) AND I GOT SEVERAL VIRUSES BY JUST USING IT FOR 3-4 MONTHS. IT WAS AWFUL!!!! I STOPPED USING THAT, I DOWNLOADED BITCOMET TORRENT PROGRAM AND I USE BITTORRENT SITES FOR ALL MY MUSIC. I WOULD NEVER USE ANY SITE FOR MUSIC ANYMORE ESPECIALLY LIMEWIRE, THAT'S FOR SURE!

I have used limewire for many years now, And my PC is fine, just make sure that you have firewalls and anti-vires programs on your PC..

some poeple for some reason like to put up vires, but as long as you know what sort of size the file you are trying to get is, you should be ok.

Nope not really. I asked my friends the same question before I downloaded my limewire on mah desktop. It's not dangerous as long as you have your virus protection, you'll be fine. Just dont download porn and stuff because I know that you can get virus from them.

I am a registered user for over a year and have no problems.
If you download lots of dodgy stuff it is not limewire at fault.

Once you have an effective firewall, spyware and malware scanner and virus scanner there is nothing to worry.

well.. lots of the programs that you download turn out to be trojans, so i would say that's the most dangerous thing about it. so whenver you download something.. just have your anti-virus on whenver you download something.
