Your RAM is the Physical Primary Memory and it is where all programs store their temporary files. Suppose you open Word, do some typing and close it. Sometimes, temporary data will still reside in RAM. With these programs, they have the ability to check unwanted data and remove them which free the unused area. But, even when you issue the Refresh Command, the same thing is done but more mathematically and accurately with such software.
