You will need any video editor software. Most of them are expensive (such as adobe premier) but I am aware of a total free one which I have used in the past called virtualdub.

good luck!

I have Roxio's Movie Creator. When you load a clip into it, it automatically buffers the audio as a wav file and the video as a separate avi file. Then I just go to the cache directory for the program and copy over the wav file. If I want to edit it, convert to mp3, etc., I just use any audio editor (have Cool Edit).

So with the Roxio I got a video editor and an audio ripper for the price of one. (And since it came free with my last DVD burner, it made it really cheap).
