well an accident is an accident, be it to the good or bad. the best thing to do is sit down with your dad and talk about it. just keep in mind you live there because he loves you and he wants to help you. thats what being a parent is. so don't punnish him by being mad. just easily talk it out and things will work themselves out.

How can anyone throw out a computer? Had you said you wanted to get rid of it, but not explained you wanted to sell it? Had you put it with the rubbish? or what? Depending on the circumstances, and both your and your dad's financial situation, i think you should come to some agreement.
However, i have to say that £30 a week goes nowhere to keeping somebody. If you had to rent, pay heat/electric/water bills, loo rolls, cleaning materials and if your dad buys food, then food as well it would cost you a lot more than 30 quid a week. So really you are lucky. Whether you like living at home or not, you have a roof over your head.

Accept it as an accident and keep paying him, he paid for all your clothes, computers etc as a child and doesn't expect you to pay him back for that.
I bought my mum a new computer for her work and still pay her house keeping I was going to sell the old one but my mum took it to the dump instead I wouldn't dream of not paying her.

You should explain to your dad that you were going to use the money that you got from the computer to pay him.
Yes, it was an accident, but one that cost you dearly and your dad needs to accept this

Forget about it. Pay him his 30, but also mention that you lost 200 because he threw out your PC...let him decide if he will pay for it or not.

does he charge u for any mistakes uve made? ud probably owe him more than he owes you, put it down to experience, he prob feels bad enough, if you get petty you could open a can of worms. i find the moral highground is always more beneficial in the long run. besides he'll be good for a "tap" at a later date when u can use a guilt trip on him.

i think you should realise it was an accident and still pay him the money cause if u were out on ur own you would have to pay heaps more.
