I use "CleanUp!" (see link below), you will not believe how easy it is and it is FREE. It also has a "demo mode" that you can run without deleting any files so you can learn how to determine what is safe to delete but in auto mode it NEVER created a single problem for me. Shaj is not completely wrong BUT if you use recognized and proven software it makes your life easier, actually YOU can do more harm trying to do it yourself if you don't know what to delete and what to keep. I'm in the software business, you would not believe the damage I have seen caused by users who don't know what they are doing.

I went into windows free utilities downloads
and downloaded something called dustbuster. I used it once and it cleared 15 GIGS from my C drive

Do use any third party softwares to clean up your harddisk. Make sure your temp files are cleared and defragment your system.

These third party softwares can harm yopur Operating System !!!!
