Cotto is no better than average. I hope at welterweight we will see his un doing. Less than "good" fighters have wobbled this guy and when you look at the names on his record as light welter champ they hardly send shivers down your spine. "Malignaggi, Branco, Torres, Abdulaev, Corley" to name but a few. Nothing more than average fighters or once decent fighters on the slide. Margarito, Williams, even Lazcano & Baldomir have the beating of him at welter. And as for his next opponent for the vacant WBA title Carlos Quintana........sadly his record is less than outstanding. Although un beaten I defy anyone to look at his previous opponents and pick out any quality. Sadly I think Cotto will win easily and through the "politics" of it all avoid any decent welters while earning himself a packet defending against nobodys again

yes he is a paper champion just like Fernando Vargas he is a guy who gets attention simply for his looks, as long as they attract the woman fight fans they will be selling tickets thus making them seem as they are real fighters, he's good don't get me wrong but not this great welterweight everyone says he is.
