Ok so my parents have a Digital Set top box (Mediastar DT-720) Connected to our Widescreen TV (Panasonic QuintrixSR). They recently bought a DVD/VCR recorder (Panasonic DMR-S35V) Now its simple enough to have one or the other connected to my TV at any one time but if anyone has any clue how to hook it all up at once I would LOVE YOU!! I can give more details if needed thnx

Simple solution :
Buy a 'junction box', which offers provision for feeding 2 or more parallel connections to your TV. Inexpensive, it will be readily available with any TV/DVD retailer. Plug its connection cords into your TV set.
Connect both your Set top box, and DVD/VCR to you junction box - and then with just a simple turn of its knob, you can switch to either the Set top box, or DVD/VCR !

Are you making sure that you 1) have the TV on the correct channel to play DVDs or 2) that you're choosing the appropriate input? My television has multiple choices for input on the input menu from the remote; i.e. Video 1, Video 2, Comp 1, Comp 2, etc.

Wall/Antenna -> Set-top box -> DVD/VCR -> TV

Or if you have SCART (European) connections on your TV:
Wall/Antenna -> Set-top box with the coax cable and SCART everything else into the set-top box.

If that doesn't work, check your DVD owner's manual - it should have wiring diagrams for your situation.
