****Do you truly believe that Muslims worship a different God than you?

*the God of Islam created the universe and heaven and hell.... did your God not created the universe, heaven and hell?

[2:21] O people, worship only your Lord - the One who created you and those before you - that you may be saved.
[2:22] The One who made the earth habitable for you, and the sky a structure. He sends down from the sky water, to produce all kinds of fruits for your sustenance. You shall not set up idols to rival GOD, now that you know.

*the God of Islam created adam(as) and eve(as) as the first people on earth...as well as all the Prophets(as).... did the God of the Judeo-Christian tradition not create adam(as) and eve(as) and the Prophets(as)?

[3:59] The example of Jesus, as far as GOD is concerned, is the same as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, "Be," and he was.

Another verse on creation:
[2:29] It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.

**the God of Islam told Adam(as) and Eve(as) that they were restricted from a certain tree in the Garden of Eden….. did the God of the Jews and the Christians not do this as well
[2:35] We said, "O Adam, live with your wife in Paradise, and eat therefrom generously, as you please, but do not approach this tree, lest you sin."

The God of the Muslims says that one must pray to him for forgiveness and that salvation can only be achieved through Him…. Does not the God of the Jews and the Christians say this as well?

[2:286] On no soul doth God Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."
[2:107] Knowest thou not that to God belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? And besides Him ye have neither patron nor helper.

***if your answer was “no” to any of these questions then maybe we do not believe in the same God….. if your answer was “yes” to all is it not possible that there is only One True God that we all worship?

also... this is what the Quran says about Christians and Jews...

[2:62] Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

I pray to the God that created the earth and all life on it. There has been so much arguing over what his name is that it gets confusing. I call him father of all that is. Father!! If the God the muslims worship created the earth and all life then we worship the same God, different name.
Example, in English the color of the grass is called green. In Spanish, verde. In German, gruin. Same color different name. Snow in English and nieve in spanish, Schnee in German. Same thing different name....

In regards to Jesus being the same as Adam, from a Christian perspective, that is incorrect. Firstly Jesus is what the King James Bible calls "Begotten" which means he existed before he was born, he existed prior to creation, and it is one of the main reasons he is regarded as God. I don't know if the Muslims believe Jesus is Begotten.
Secondly there are several important aspects regarding his birth, his paternal (I think that is the word) father was of the line of King David, and so was his mother. He didn't have a biological father. The Muslims believe this.
Thirdly, Jesus was without sin, which was why died on the cross (I believe the Q'ran says he didn't die on the cross, but he did, a medical test was performed which confirmed it), if he had sinned then he wouldn't have been able to save us, but because he hadn't sinned he was able to take the punishment God requires for our sins.
Fourthly Jesus rose again on Easter Sunday.
Fifthly Jesus has all authority in Heaven and Earth.
And number six is he will return, and when he does, expect a lot of action!
Adam wasn't born he was created, but he didn't exist prior to creation either.
He sinned, which was why he got kicked out of the Garden of Eden.
When he died he didn't come back to life, just the same as everyone else who has died (except Jesus).
He doesn't have any authority in Heaven or on earth.
And he won't return to judge the world.

Christians believe that Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity that is God. Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet; but they do not believe in the Holy Trinity. There are similarities; but only one is the true God.

" If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."
John 14:7

"He who has seen Me has seen the Father"
John 14:9

What you quote sounds like it would be nice and solve a lot of problems to our way of thinking...but the Quran and the Bible and just the Torah and Talmud can't ALL be true at the same time.

Neither Muslims nor Jews believe that Jesus Christ was God. We believe Jesus, God, and the Holy spirit co-existed during the time God spoke about being the only Savior. God knew He (the Jesus part of Him) would be the only Savior.

As nice as that last verse from the Quran you quoted sounds, it isn't true, according to the Bible. Jesus said, "I am the way. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I see that who you call Allah and who I call God sound the same in many ways, but the divisions in belief that came later are much too important to ignore

Muslims think it is blasphemy to call Jesus God or the son of God.
Jews think Jesus was a fake and a false Messiah.
Christians think Jesus is God.

So, no, if Allah does not acknowledge that Jesus is God, he is not my God. God said, referring to Jesus, "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased."

That's a good question! I myself have been trying to find the difference between Islam and Christianity and (please correct me if I'm wrong) I found out that actually the plot and the main characters in the whole story are the same with some small differences. The biggest difference seems to be that Christians accept Jesus as God's son and Muslims accept him as a prophet. And yes - Muslims have their prophet Mohammad. But everything else seems to be the same! Here somebody will ask "What about the fact that Muslims are allowed to marry 4 women?" Well,in the Bible there is a story about a person (sorry, but I forgot his name) who fell in love with the younger daughter of his uncle and he had to work for his uncle 7 years to get married to her...but eventually his uncle misled him and gave him his elder daughter...and then the man had to work extra 7 years for the uncle to get married to his younger daughter too...so eventually he was married to them both! Muslim women have to cover their hair...OK,but in past times Christian women also had to cover their hair!Even now in some Christian temples in Greece a woman should cover her hair if she wants to enter (or at least that's what I heard). As for the fact that Muslims shouldn't eat pork - ha ha,it's funny how very few Christians know that in the Bible it's also written not to eat pork!So what comes out as a conclusion? Aren't Christianity and Islam more like 2 movements of the same religion than 2 different religions?I mean it's not like if ones believed in Jesus and the others in Zeus... And yes, I think that we believe in the same God!After all in Arabic Allah means simply...God :)

Yes, I know that Jews and Muslims worship different Gods.

The God of Abraham said in Torah through His prophet Moses -

Deut 4:2 "You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."

Deut 12:32 "Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it"

These two statements mean God sent one Torah and it is not to be changed or added to. Its bad enough the Pharisees have tried to do this by creating the Mishnah and Talmud, but when Mohammud comes along and offers a complete new text that is supposed to replace God's holy Torah? No, the God of Abraham will not lie by stating His Torah is not to be add or taken away from and then later give a new set of instructions to a man who isn't a Hebrew and tell every one to ignore the first set and pay attention to the new.

Paperback, months in the past whilst she made a similar remark, i will remember there have been multitudes of Christians who got here upon them abhorrent. i'm hoping you remember that maximum Christians did no longer agree together with her. in certainty, whilst that first arose i will remember maximum of human beings attacking her besides as some atheists who easily enjoyed Suzanne who defended her guy or woman, if no longer her theology. there is not any longer something you could say which will substitute her perspectives (and vice versa) no be counted how undesirable they're to you and others. thank you for posting the link. I, for one, savour being saved in the loop of this actual difficulty. Make no mistake, it rather isn't any longer an precise reflection of Christian concept. a approaches from it.

I claim to have built the Sears Tower, do you believe that I am the same person who built the Sears Tower?

I sure HOPE not. Just because a religion steals theology bits and pieces from another faith doesn't mean that the god is the same God as God.
