I have been in the manufacturing business for many years and the final frontier has answered correctly. It is somewhat on how the beans are processed but it is also on what type of bean is being used. Different coffee beans contain different levels of caffeine as they are genetically altered. Decaffeinated coffee or "decaf" is coffee that has had most of the caffeine removed. By weight, the amount of caffeine found naturally in coffee is only about 1% for the Arabica and 2% for the Robusta coffee beans.
When you read "97% Caffeine Free", 97% of that 1% or 2% has been removed.

Caffeine has been removed during the production process, which seems rather to defeat the object of drinking coffee.
Current scientific opinion seems to be that caffeine is good for you, at least in moderation.

Normal coffee has caffine, caffine free is they take caffine out somehow, and add something else which I think is probably poison to the human body.
