I live in Zimbabwe, I'm sure all of you know that our economy is not good at all. I have a full time professional job at an international company. Due to economic hardships, i want to move to one of our neighbouring countries where i'll get a job as a waitress or something like that. Do you think its worth taking the risk

Hi Sammy

My first suggestion would be to apply for a post overseas with your company. That way you can still enjoy your standard of living. If that is not an option, I would make the move anyway. You will always be able to recreate what you have achieved so far. Lots of people change countries and have to take a job with lower status at first. There is a film which I think might help with your decision. It is called The Secret and you can watch it online at www.thesecret.tv. It is very inspiring and I think will help to allay your fears. Also, have a look at The Science of Getting Rich. You can download a free copy of this amazing little book (the inspiration for the secret) at http://www.scienceofgettingrich.net/gifts/abundant.html. Please send this link to anyone you think may be interested. It really works.
Good Luck

Why? When u have a professional job still inclined to work as a waitress in a neighbouring town. Think more about the future.

There are some questions that only YOU can answer.
A few hints that MAY help:-
Weigh up, is it worthwhile giving up a professional career for waiting on (Though what is wrong with waiting on?)
How about the cost of relocation?
And accommodation in any neighbouring state?
Remember.too, that 'all things are passing'....even political situations!!
Could the company that you work for offer you a post elsewhere....even, say, a 12month secondment which would give you a breathing space.?
Discuss with your friends, read the answers you get from yahooo, but in the end only you can decide.

Thats a tough one! You wont really know until you try. It depends if you are leaving family to move. That would make it more risky, because then you have more to loose. But, if the economy is alot better in the other countries, in the long run maybe your family could move also?

Sure. Go for it. If you think you can improve your life, it's worth taking the risk. Just research the countries that you're interested in before you go.
