I am bothered by the movie because it was a crappy adaptation of a fairly enjoyable book.

All that aside, none of us will ever know the truth because none of us were there. But if Magdelene had no personal relationship with Jesus, why did the gospels make special mention of her being at the crucifixion? Seems to there would have been an awful lot of people there, why make special mention of her?

IF you believe and trust in the Lord then how can some Movie
change you mind ? Do you believe every thing you hear on the news,? a lot of time its not true, its just them twisting things around to make a good story so half maybe right and the other half will be false and that is what they have done with this movie
May God bless you

Hollywood's creation is for money in anything they do.Fact nor fiction play a role.Ticket sales! There has to be an equal balance somewhere with science and religion or it just don't seem people could have achieved so much so fast. This world has went from horses to probes to Mars and beyond in just less than 100 years.

No, I'm not bothered by it. Although most of it is fiction, it raises some possibilities that christians aren't comfortable with, such as the possibility of jesus having heirs. The hysterical responses it invoked here just show that many of them are insecure and can't stand a test of their beliefs

I haven't seen the movie but I really enjoyed the book.

No... I'm not at all bothered by the story or it's exposures of occult religious practices and their sorted religious histories... I am an atheist for good reason, after all.

PS. above you'll note a commenter who writes: " I'm bothered by the idiots who buy in to this nonsense. "

I wonder... can you all now see why others might be just as 'bothered' by any theistic belief.?

The Vinci Code might be fictional ... and then there would be the Da Vinci Code ...

Haven't seen it or read the book, so I don't know, but from what I've heard ... it's plausible..

The da vinci code by dan brown is full of deception, he can't even get history right let alone scientific matters. If you want to know the the truth read God's word !! He just fulfill's bible prophecy "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking afer their own lusts." (2Peter 3:3) "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresis, even denying the Lord that brought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feignen words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." (2Peter 2:1-3)

Nope, because it's fictional -- even the producers of the movie and the author of the book admit that.

Fictional are the people and storyline in the book itself, but alot of truth I believe lies in the historical references in the book.

you see, the people who are bothered are the idiots who read into something that doesn't actually exist.

the book affirms the truth of the descriptions of places and documents, and the descriptions only. NOT, Dan browns interpretations of those things.
