Because it depends what God you believe in- but I assume you refer to the Christian concept- and don't recall ever reading anything in the old or new testament where he said he would make everything easy for us. He never said that no one would starve or die, he never said it would rain if it needed to.

It has always been like that in africa- not because of god, but because of where it is geograhically- it's a hot country, it has deserts- therefore it doesn't rain. People in africa aren't poor because there isn't rain- they're poor because of their government failing them.

I'm not telling you to believe in God, whichever God you want, but don't think that He/She has control over it all just because He created it. There are many factors in our world. People are evil and do evil things because God gave them FREE WILL, and hence he cannot change things.

Believe me, I have had **** in my life and I wonder why I seem to have been forsaken, and everyone tells me it happens for a reason, and God help me, I cannot ever see a reason for some things, but I don't really think God did it to me on purpose, it was just out of his control.

I hope that sets your mind at ease a little.

There is no rain in Africa but there is the longest river in the world there, where great civilisations were born.
There is no rain in Africa but the Zambezi river has the biggest and the most awe-inspiring waterfall the world has ever known.
There is no rain in Africa enough to contain the millions of animals of all species in the safari.
There is no rain in Africa enough to have the second largest Equatorial rainforest in the world.
There is no rain in Africa as much as there is no rain in the Painted Desert of America, the Atacama in Chile and the Gobi in Asia and in the Great Australian and Arabian Deserts.
There is no rain in Africa but she has more than enough oil and gas and gold and bauxite and uranium and aluminium and silver that developed countries can always pay for.

Poor people in Africa die of mismanagement and poor distribution of wealth. Poor people in Africa die of Aids.
Poor people of Africa die in tribal skirmishes, who were caught in between the feuds of certain dishonest people.

Poor people of India and Bangladesh might just die of too much rain, poor people of Aceh died in the deluge but then again I guess us humans might just as well blame it on the rain and point the finger the other way.

If it rains more often in Africa,...

1. the global climatic condition will become worst.

2. More pandemic diseases will make their apparition, specifically targetting humans since the primitive man came from Africa, the pathogens will have preferences to attack human beings.

3. and finally if more rain falls in Africa, the local people will be more in danger none other than by man himself. Man from developped countries, since they have financial and military power ,will invade Africa ,and take possession of the natural resources like Gold and Diamond mines or petroleum rich zones.Rain will make the climate more comfortable for them to settle in Africa, and they will either make the local people their sclaves or hunt them down from their own lands as if they were only animals.

A solution for African people...instead of wasting money in weapons for stealing their neighbour's land, they should collect funds that will help make water storages and plant trees resistent to harsh conditions in order to reduce the heat and also water loss.
They should find the strength in themselves to improve their way of living. If they can't because of unfavourable climatic conditions, they should migrate to a more favourable location...Africa is such a big continent.Only the division made by man not God is making these people's live hard.Political control over a country preventing the neighbour people from getting refuges though their own country is big enough to give them a place ...

The Conclusion...if these people is suffering its not because of God,Africa has always been the same and the people in the past were not suffering as they do now.If they were hungry they could go hunting of fishing ,now they cannot move freely in their own continent separated by Man.

Because there is no God. Simple. We are all powerful, not some God. The question should be, with us in control, why do poor people die of hunger?

God is only in control if you believe there is a God. Whether there is a God or not, the human race would need to invent a God or gods, as to believe in a "Higher Being" brings comfort and gives someone that they can blame for all the ills in this world.

Apparently that is how it is supposed to be>This is not a perfect world,it's not supposed to be.People die,it sucks but I think that is so we can have compassion, sympathy, and empathy some people have none for nobody. They are the lost ones.If it was all perfect we wouldn't need each other to fix this mess that the world is in!

Not that I'm religious but mankind does have the power to help these people, I'm not saying we can make rain etc but we do have the technology to improve their lives somehwat.

Didn't god (if there is one) give us free will do to as we please?

I'm sure a "god" wouldn't do it all for us.

Facing adversity actually strengthens your soul. People living with drought and poverty are facing challenge as well as providing a reason to test you and the wealthy countries about charity and willingness to help your neighbors, no matter what the sacrifice.

God is a myth invented by men who are seeking to have influence or control over others. The concept is nothing to do with what actually happens in the world
