I THINK WE ALL NEW WHAT THE OUTCOME WAS GOING TO BE, OUR GOVERNMENT WILL NOT LOSE ALL THAT DUTY TAX, IT MAKES ME SICK,WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE EU, SO WE SHOULD HAVE THE SAME PERKS AS THE REST OF EUROPE.

There are plenty of sites around that specialise in importing fags. Obviously you run the risk of duty, but personally i can't see any difference between bringing them into the country with you after a trip into the EU and mail ordering.
Obviously if every smoker was to mail order in their fags the treasury coffers would plummet, and then who would pay for the NHS. Oh, the irony.

You could alway actually pay attention to the decision and base your comments on facts...just a thought
The decision was from the EU and applies across all countries in the EU, it is not an "our government" thing at all.
The orginal case was brought to court by the Dutch, against the French imports to the Netherlands.

It's a good source of (taxation) revenue for them. And people who overindulge with these two, let's face it poisons will need looking after, by an NHS paid for by our taxes. So, fair's fair

typical aint it but that was never gonna happen. a story put in the news as a smoke screen for something much bigger on the horizan like id cards or something.
