And yes, someone will say 'what a childish question' - which really will serve to underline my point, don't you think ?

I agree. I haven't been here too long ... and I'm pretty well fed up with the idiotic questions. I thought this is a place where one is able to learn ... and share their knowledge. BIG disappointment at times ....

Because there are a lot of children on this site and very childish people

But some of the things said are funny and make the day a little better so don't complain

No, not a childish question, a very realistic question. I believe it is because there are more children out of school for the holiday, thus they are on here asking questions. Just my opinion. Have a great day, God bless****

some questions are childish but, they can also be quite fun and refreshing... it's a knowledge forum open to all and we each have the ability to incrementally change it by asking and answering in the direction 'we' want this to evolve into...

everybody posting has to accept some responsibility for the over all tone and topics discussed... we all choose individually what we post / reply to... ultimately it hinges on the effort people are willing to make..

Everything devolves to the lowest common denominator - it is the way of nature, the way it always has been and always willl be.

Millions of years of human endeavour have struggled towards this, our finest achievement - in the blink of an eye, being able to ask our fellow man to help us in our quest towards the understanding of issues such as 'Why does my b/f eat so noisily?' and 'Which is better -fish fingers or kebabs?'

It seems no one is interested any more in the meaning of life.

As good as your question is, I fear anyone who ask such questions now are magnets for social illiterates and basic morons...just one more thing. Why is your question on the 'singles & dating' section - or am I petty pointing it out?

A bit saddened at most saying 'well...it's the young 'uns who are spoiling it' - get above yourself. Had to put up with some scuzzy answers from alleged mature adults myself. Teenagers indeed - who you kidding?

The questions seem to go in waves....there is a wave of childish ones, then they become more serious, then back to silly....
I suppose it is mostly a question of age?
The very young keep asking "How do I know if he/she likes me?"
The older ones: "How do I keep my marriage fresh?"
Go figure!!!
