I am a fireman. I fell down from 4th storey high and fractured most of left ribs and spine, cuts on my face and head. Hidden injuries in limbs joints. However, what matters to me is my face. Doctor has stitched up the cut on my face but it leaves quite a deep scar. How do i lighten or remove it without going for lasers.

Would you be interested in doing a detox?

My friend Lina was involved in a bad accident.. her tour bus dropped right into the valley and the flesh on her face was almost ripped out.

She did a detox because it helps healing and cell rejuevenation.. and her scar lightened so much that you can barely see it now.

She every considered going laser but found it much more cost effective to do the detox as it also helped her bring balance back to health and make her health better.

If you are interested, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com

If I were you, I would avoid Mederma at all costs! I was injured and had two scars below each of my eyes (like a football player). I just wanted the redness to go away and appear somewhat normal , then move on with my life. Mederma accomplished none of it. The scars are only 2 months old as well. I read many reviews and how it helped others, so I gave it a try. It's all relative to the wound. You have a face scar like me, so save your money!. The thing that has helped is a hot shower, Vitamin E face wash while massaging it for 15 minutes everyday. If nothing else, it makes it feel better and not so tense..but the scar has faded some because of that. Good Luck!

Scar reducing ointments such a Maderma can actually work quite well. I would also try something like Cocoa Shea Butter for pregnancy stretch marks. They smooth it and make it less noticable. There's also microdermabration kits for home. OR, if it's darker than the skin, there are skin bleaching kits at beauty supply stores which would make the color blend in more. If you use that, I would apply carefully, probably with a q-tip. To keep the scar from darkening again after that, I'd just dab on some sunscreen over it everyday before leaving. I'm afraid there isn't much else besides laser treatment.

I hope this helps. I too had bad scarring, but on my back and this is what I did and now the scar looks like a cat scratch. Buy a Aloe Vera plant, cut one leaf off of the plant and filet it into thin strips. In the evening, lay the strips on your scars for about 15 minutes. You might have to lay down because they are slippery. Then I would break open a Vitamin E capsule and massage the oil into the scars for about 5 minutes. The Vitamin E heals skin from the inside and the massage breaks up hard tissue. During the day I used a fading cream (available at almost any drug store) Follow the directions on the cream. You could also try Mederma for scars but this product did not work for me. My scar started as a 1/2 inch wide and 6 inch long gash and like I said, it now looks like a cat scratched me. I really hope this helps. Good luck to you and remember that you are beautiful scars and all!

Whenever I have any scars I apply Neosporn or Tripple Antibotic ointment. You have to wash your face frequently and put on Neosporn, and try not to touch it too much. It may also depend on the wound, but for everything and anything I always use Neo Sporn.

You might try researching different chemical peels, as well as microdermabrasion.
