Reading is a good way to learn many phrases. If your problem is a foreign accent which Americans have a hard time understanding, practice makes perfect.... talk a lot, even reading out loud to yourself. Find a good neighbor or friend in whom you can confide and ask for their impression of your speech. They can help you become more fluent and confident in yourself. And congratulate yourself for your effort!
