THEIR ARE 2 SIZES, MINIATURE, AND STANDARD, THEIR IS NO SUCH THING AS A (NORMAL) SIZE. MINIATURES ARE 11 POUNDS AND UNDER, AND STANDARDS ARE OVER THAT, I have seen standard wirehairs go 35 lbs, also longhairs, and smooth, I had a standard LH female that weighted about 25 lbs

I think you got it right.

I have a Standard, Long hair, Dauchshund. He weighs in about 36 pounds...

Bred smaller would be the Minatures.
They use the slang, Doxie, which of course is short for Dauchshund.

I did read recently that at one point, breeders were mixing the two sizes (mini's are under 11 lbs and standards are 16+ lbs) to get a weight between the 11 and 16 lbs about 10 years ago. Fortunately, this did not catch on. So maybe someone had read this and got confused.

Pay attention to what GitEmGang is telling you... TWO SIZES, THREE COAT TYPES: Miniature and Standard size. Short, Long and wirehaired coat types. By the way the term is Daxie NOT doxie! Since when did dachshund have a 'O' in the word??????

They are probably refering to the standard size...
That's my guess.
