Cow's milk doesn't directly cause cancer.
The worst part about cow's milk is the process it goes through to get from the cow's udder to your grocery store. Typically, it is altered beyond recognition. It is standardized, fortified, pasteurized and homongenized. In other words, it has been taken apart and put back together again, not always in the same proportions. Then it will be cooked and emulsified.
However, many humans actually have mild allergies to the substance, which is nutrionally incompatible with their bodies. In these cases, milk consumption can trigger acne outbreaks, sinusitis, constipation and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
On the other hand, those who experience no allergic reactions can drink it with no problems, and will wholeheartedly stand out on the streets and proclaim, "Milk is good for you! Drink it by the gallon!" And for them, it may be. But it's not for everyone.
So, what transforms an otherwise healthy milk products into allergens and carcinogens? It all starts with modern feeding methods that substitute high-protein, soy-based feeds for fresh green grass; and breeding methods to produce cows with abnormally large pituitary glands so that they produce three times more milk than they a traditional cow.
Then, the cows are given antibiotics to keep them well. Their milk is then pasteruized so that all valuable enzymes are destroyed; lactase, which assimilates lactose; galactose, which assimilates galactose; phosphatase, for the assimilation of calcium. Literally dozens of precious enzymes are destroyed in the pasteruization process. Without them, milk is very difficult to digest. The human pancreas is not always able to produce these enzymes; over-stress of the pancreas can lead to disease.
Hope this helped explain it a little better. Raw, organic, whole cow's milk is in no way cancer-causing. It's really more the process it goes through to become store-ready that could, in a sense, contribute to cancer development in some people.

Back in yrs. when so many people keep & counted on cows milk to survive. Cancer was rarely heard of Grandp., parents on both sides go back into the 1800. Never heard of any of them having cancer. Why? In the past decade or so the enphasis in the cause of cancers has to lay blame on people. OH! you did this or that, thats why you got it. Well I believe this was an attempt to cover up the truth. They know what was doing it. The use of chemicals. Not my mother or gr.mother, nor my husbands had breast cancer. Yet my generation it is rampant. DDT. came in to play when were young. Spread in barns, on milk cows, in homes. Some yrs. back the levels found in mothers milk of that generation was scare. A coincidence. Or.what. Milk is not to blame.

Milk does contain very small amounts of carcinogens but it is not a likely cause of cancer. Eg. people who have been smoking their whole life may never acquire lung cancer and someone who has never smoked might. Susceptibility to cancer is hereditary.

I read about a study conducted in the UK about excessive dairy intake significantly increasing a man's chance of developing testicular cancer. But that would be an extreme intake so it's not really anything to worry about.

considering we are the only animal to drink milk past infancy, there is apt to be problems. My mom accounted my dad dieing of cancer to his drinking of at least one huge glass a day. I'd try to avoid it if possible, not give it up, but don't over do it.

Yeah and then everyone will stop drinking milk...get osteoprosis....then they will come back and say that we need to drink more milk...
There are a lot of hormones and additives added to milk...Maybe that's what they are talking about.

i dont think so , every one wants to find something to blame cancer on but in reality you either get cancer or not . i know of many , many ,many kids who have got cancer and some survived while others didnt . there is no rhyme or reason to it , it can strike anyone , at anytime.

I'm betting the sites you found also mentioned "Pus" and were primarily animal rights activist organizations, am I right?
In short, no, the milk-cancer link is a complete distortion used by extremists to scare people away from a food they consider to be "cruel"
