I'm so sorry for your loss :( I haven't actually lost a family member but my best friend lost her younger brother and also when I was at school a close friend of mine decided not to get in a car to go home because the driver had been drinking. He was run over and killed by a drunk driver an hour latter. I firmly believe that the punishment dished out by the courts do nothing to deter these idiots and it should be one strike and your out. Never to hold a licence again, EVER. I'm not sure what country you are in but here in Australia they seem to get nothing but a little fine or some ridiculous amount of jail time, like 3 months....Again sorry for your loss
