alright so me and this boy make out and cuddle and call eachother and hang out all the time......i like him a lot too but i can't help but feel like something here is wrong. why can't he ask me out already, i feel weird being "special friends" or whatever you want to call it. it's like being boyfriend and girlfriend without the title but my friends have seen me kiss him and it would be so much easier to kiss him knowing he was my boyfriend. guys are so incredibly dumb when it comes to catching hints haha.

why don't you ask him?
I'm pretty sure he his just too shy or he fears that asking for "too much" might disturb the relationship you already have, and he is not willing to risk that.

come on, take responsibility for your life and ask him!
(if I were the man, I'd love you so much more for doing this!)

Don't need the haha - I'm a guy, and I've been missing supposedly obvious clues forever...

Have you considered that he might already consider you his girlfriend?

I do understand your need for clarity from him however. I see two ways to easily address this; one, you can ask through someone else why he hasn't; two, you can ask him yourself.

If you're relationship is close, I don't see any reason not to ask. You're already doing the bfriend/gfriend thing - so ask him whats up.

I know that may seem like an intimidating thing to do, but what the heck, the worst that happens is you move on because he just wants to be 'special friends' and you can find someone else.

Or maybe you stay 'special friends' if that's what you want.

At best - you're a couple.

He probably hasn't asked you out because he's more comfortable with the way things are going now. He may not want that type of commitment yet. You should tell him how you feel so there's no type of misunderstanding. If you both want different things, then you'll just have to compromise or move on.

Sounds like bf/gf to me already... so just where is it that you do your intimate things?
Why don't you tell him you want a bf commitment and want to go places and/or want it known that you are committed to each other?
I think you should ask for what you want and stop waiting for him to "take the hint?"
