Mention means A remark that calls attention to something or someone.. so it is saying that different resources have called to attention the since means in the past long now production means that it should of been short but it is now long so in other words .... different resources have drawn attention to the fact that the past production is longer than expected. ..

This is very strange English! I would put it like this. Mention the traditional forms of agriculture and earning one's livelihood which have been followed on Nias for many generations.
