You can use olive oil for your hair. Leave on for 30 minutes or so. (mine, i leave it there for an hour). Then you shampoo and wash. (I do this regularly, about 3x a week, works for me.) =)

First thing I would recommend is getting a haircut every couple weeks. Not very much just an inch or so. It will not only get rid of the dead stuff slowly but promote new hair growth faster. Maybe try a high end leave in conditioner, something i've only tried once but had great results from-henalucent...not sure if thats spelled correctly. ONLY USE IT if you don't have chemically treated hair though...good luck!

Make sure your diet conatins adequate amounts of Vit B, Vit C, Biotin.

For dry hair pls try these hot oil massages....they will help in maintaing the natural sheen of your hair and will also condition your hair:

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.

Hot Caster oil massage: Warm ½ cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.

Clove oil honey massage. Stir well ½ cup of green olive oil with 1 cup of liquid honey. Shake vigorously. Keep the mixture to settle for a day or two. Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Take care

Are you keeping good health?
Water used to rinse hair not hard?
Are you going out a lot in Sun and dust?
Getting enough sleep?
Diet ok in fibers, greens and natural vitamins?
Dandruff?
Hair and scalp hygiene?

well, you need to address these questions before any beauty aid really works for you.
Add Aloe vera to your diet twice a week &
you could massage your scalp and hair with Olive/Coconut oil, leave it there
about an hour and then wash well with any good henna and egg/ ' shikakai' based shampoo.

or

No good results yet? try egg white, curd mix- apply to scalp 1 hr after oil massage as above, leave for 30 minutes and rinse. Follow with a henna & 'shikakai' [Indian herb] based shampoo. This will also help remove dandruff, if any.

I completely agree with augustine's recommendation for using olive oil. I think if you warm it up a bit before you massage it thru' your hair it will maximize the benefits.

If you're looking for shampoo's lemme suggest. Think AWESOME one by L'Oreal. Trust me when I say L'Oreal is really good.

It's called L'Oreal ELVIVE Nutri-Gloss. It's this pink color bottle, and buy the conditioner too. Ten points for mended hair ok??

GoodLuck!

John Frieda "Shine Shock" works fantastically on my black hair. People actually ask if my hair is real because it stays so shiney and smooth.
