I am not trying to come off as an atheist or anything like that because I believe in God and believe that the theory of how the universe was created is a little more complicated than the "Big Bang Theory". I just want to point out that over the past few years some of those who "claim" to be christian have been caught doing some questionable things. For example...preachers molesting altar boys, pastors using church as an excuse to take peoples money, and in the past using christianity to justify murdering people. With all these aspects you would see christianity as being the religion with the most corruption happening within it...next to Islam. With this being said it's funny how some christians disrespect other peoples religions and seem to think that they are superior to everyone else. I was just wondering how everyone else felt about this.

Idaho Mike, I specifically said, "I just want to point out that over the past few years some of those who "claim" to be christian have been caught doing some questionable things".
If you noticed I put "claim" in quotes to refer to the christians that call themselves followers of christ, but are not.

So Idahomike, I think you need to che-checity-check yourself before you wreck yourself.

I myself am a Christian, and it saddens me when things like the above mentioned incidences happen. But one needs to realize that no one is perfect - that's why we need Christ. The thing is though, Satan has a deep desire to tear God's children from Him, so He searches for our weakest point and tries to manipulate us into thinking that certain actions really aren't that bad.... People have the freedom to choose whether to succumb to temptation, and that's what makes this so sad - the fact that so many people fall into satan's trickery. I'm not perfect.. I myself have failed and done some pretty awful things in this lifetime, but I know I'm forgiven, and that God has given me a way out. I have being set free from so many wrong things that I used to do.. but it's still a daily struggle - I constantly have to lean on Him to keep from falling into my old habits

You have some fundamental misunderstanding of True Christian Faith... the first thing you need to understand is that all too often people claiming to be "christian' are not. It is quite likely that many "churches would still be mostly full after The Rapture if it were to happen right now. This is true in any large national or multi-national org. you can name... there is corruption every where... this is due to the fact that this earth is the domain of evil. satan is the prince of this earth and controls a vast force of evil which is working hard to keep corruption, especially in the name of "religion", flourishing.
disrespect for others 'religion" is not a universal thing with those of The True Christian Faith... but, there are man invented and satan inspired "religions" that are doing great harm and ned to be countered.... there are many very good people being deceived by some very bad movements.... IMO(in my opinion) islam being the greatest of the evil inspired, man invented, "religions".... there are quite a number of "denominations" that I have differences with. yet I will attend their services and share their worship of God... I have honest debate with many people of different "religions"... it is only when one says they intend to murder all of my family and every one who believes as I do that I will, with extreme predjudice, "disrespect" them in return...

I would think that since Christianity more than any other religion is riddled with corruption as you point out, clearly Satan is attacking it's infrastructure. Why would Satan bother unless this is the religion that he hates the most? Why would he hate it the most? Maybe because it's the one religion that snatches people from his grip. It is amazing that the christian church is even still in existance after all it has gone through. But Jesus said, "This is my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

i myself i am a christian i would like to tell you that i do agree that maybe christianity is one of the most corrupt religions but i dont believe that every christian should be put down just because of what one "CHRISTIAN" did. i do understand that some pastors do molest kids and stuff, but they arent really christians., if u r a christian u have a TRUE relationship with God and i dont think any of those things would even cross your mind...( i am not saying we are perfect cuz NOBODY IS PERFECT) but christians do realize we are not perfect thats why we need someone to guide us and the only one that can do that is GOD

I avoid the "You" religions, you know, the ones where everyone is telling "you" what "you" need to do, the ones that say "you" are going to hell and "you" need to be saved...
I prefer a spirituality where I look at myself and consider who I am and who I choose to be. I stop focusing on what others should be doing, I stop comparing myself to them and stop judging them, even the hypocrites. I do my best to be aware of who I am a what I do to do the least amount of harm and the greatest amount of good.

of course there are people who claim to be Christains, and do bad stuff. but that kind of people aren't really christians. they just say they are. people who are real christians don't do things like that.
