You can be any MOS you want and still be Airborne. OF course when you go Airborne there is one Airborne unit overseas that the 173 Airborne Brigade in Italy. Travel and adventures come to you no matter what service you join its what MOS you want is more important. Medic is a good field, linguest is also a good field but you will find more adventure in Medic or Military Police. It want you want in a future. When you are a linguest you can work at Embassies or in security fields offices. The choice is yours because its your future

I have to agree with the guy above.
25S is a great job, but it is hard to get.
I was a 31R, i loved it. The Signal Corps is the way to go that is for sure.
So look into the Signal Brach for sure.
As for Airborne. 100% dead on. Going into the army and not being Airborne is like going to the movies, watching the Previews and leaving thinking that sucked.
Airborne is the only way to go, and pray you get an Airborne division. 82nd rocks and 101st is fantastic! It's the best place to be in the Army.
Well good luck Airborne.

If you like traveling and adraniline, Airborne can be a good choice. You have three basic places you can go as a paratrooper on jump status, the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft Bragg, NC; 4th Brigade of the 25th Infantry Division in Fort Richardson, AK; and the 173rd Airborne out of Vicenza, Italy.
All of these units deploy to many places around the world, from Egypt to Thailiand, from the many countries in Europe to all over the states.
And as far as getting an adrenaline rush, I refer to an old saying many paratroopers are fond of:
"I dont care how many sky dives you got. Until you've stepped into complete darkness at 850 feet wearing 95 pounds of equipment and 68 pounds of parachute, YOU ARE STILL A LEG!"
(A leg is a derogarory term we paratroopers give to non-paratroopers)

flight medic is the best medical job to me.
very exciting.
Airborne is just a school, you will jump and get the tab but doubtfully will use the skill. As far as I know only males are allowed in infantry units, that would be the medics also. From my experience they put female medics in combat support hospitals, med centers, Sometimes they serve in MP units.

I am not familiar with the MOS's in the Army but I know you should look into jobs that will transfer to the civilian world when you get out. The military provides great training and you will want that to transfer to another job instead of it all going to waste.

well they use to give you a test to see what your interests are....
check out all the armed services they all have the same jobs...some are better if you ever become a civilian again...like the navy is considered college equivalent training.... and if you really want to go airborne then go.......GOOD LUCK

you should go to the Navy...I'm in aviation and you will travel like no other( I'm in Italy right now)...and most likely you will not see the sights of Iraq unless you are a nurse. If you believe in this war... join the Army.. and you will be eating dust in no time....It's never to late to change services no matter what some dumb *** recruiter tells you.
