Finally a real question in R+S.
The after life to me can be boile down and processed into this. Most of us are afraid of dying. In order to comfort ourselves we will turn to sources that seem to have the explanation as to what we can do about it. But the truth is no one really knows for sure if there is an after life many can claim they have experienced a near death experience but the truama this causes is known to produce hallucinations. Believer of many religions have faith in an afterlife and act accordingly as there religion dictates to achieve access to it.

1) Because of all the stories of people who have died (and even been proven dead) and then come back. They ALL have about the same descriptoin of what it's like on the other side.
2) Because God wouldn't go to all this trouble to create us and test us and guide us, just to extinguish us in the end. If He is perfect, He won't waste time and resources and life like that.

We don't.
Contrary to what Rainsomething down there says, not everyone has the same Near Death Experience. In fact, I've had an NDE and I didn't see God or White Light or dead relatives.
I saw Fenrir, from Norse mythology.
I do not, however, believe that Fenrir is any more real than I believe God is real or ANY god is real, for that matter.

There is life after death only if we believe in Jesus Christ and follow His teachings. Otherwise, what's the point?

I know there is because I have experienced the spiritual side of death. It does exist. You have got to really be aware of the spirit to let it into your mind and it will contact you.

Jesus told us so.Why would He choose death and make an example of it for us?The Jews asked for a sign and He said '"destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up".He also said "I go to prepare a place for you"

We live in a schizophenic world but I've buried a few hundred cadavers after embalming them and never once was there any indication other than rot and decay .

We don't, and there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that there is. It is simply a myth that arose when life was so miserable that people had to think that there might be something better.
