It is stainless steel, you put ice in it, the drink mixture (alcohol) and then you can't take the lid off. Hmmmmm......... Please Help????

Cold makes things contract so the lid that you are pouring from is getting tighter as it gets colder. After the shaker is empty running the top under warm/hot water should loosen it. Keep the hot water on the lid only as best you can. The lid will expand and the base will stay cooler and smaller than the lid so it will loosen. Happy Mixing.

The lid not coming off is either because of pressure, the metal cooling and expanding, or because some liquors and mixers have sugars in them.

The only way to really fix this problem it to get a shaker with a screw off lid such as the bell shaker here:

Believe it or not, alot of alcohol & spirits have sugar in them. Mix them with water, let it sit a few seconds, it will stick. Just run it under warm water. That should do the trick.
