Is it the same time if it is stuffed or un stuffed? I need to know how many hours and at what temperature my turkey needs to cook.

I've been cooking my turkey overnight for years and no one has ever gotten sick. This year it's 21.4 pounds. I put it in the oven at 10:00 PM at 250 degrees and will bump it to 325 around 8 AM. At 12:30 I will remove the foil so it gets good and brown on the top which I base with butter and broth. We will dine around 1:00. My turkey's are always juicy and falling off the bone tender. I guess a lot depends on individual ovens as some cook hotter than others but this works for me. If your straight out cooking your stuffed turkey and it's this large you better plan on 7 1/2 to 8 hours at 350.

I cook mine at 325. When it's over 16 pounds, cook it for 12 minutes per pound. Don't forget to let it rest for a half hour or so after it's cooked. And yes, a stuffed bird takes longer.

cook it for 4 hours or 5 on 350 butter it real good the outside skin will be brown when its done and when you poke it with a knife the inside should be white not pink .Keep pouring the juices over it .One time I cook a 25 pound on 200 from 12 at night till 12 the next day .It was the best.

both my sis and i are late nighters and late risers. i bought a 23 lb butterball and bought the baking bag. sis told me to cut up celery and onions and insert with a stick of butter in the cavity. and be sure to flour the bag. put in 250 degree oven around midnight and it will fall apart done by 8 or 9 am. i did this last year and i got volunteered to do the turkey again.
